Who can benefit from hydroponics?

There are many different ways to enjoy growing with hydroponics.

The Relaxed Gardener

I’ve enjoyed gardening for years but would like a simpler approach with no constant weeding, fewer pests to battle, no hard work digging and turning the soil and no need to tend the plants on the ground.

Hydroponics allows gardeners to grow their favorite plants without the need for heavy work and the plants can be raised up on trestles so there’s no need to bend down.

The Urban Gardener

I care about where my food comes from and wish i could grow my own but i don’t have any space at home. I’ve tried growing herbs in my kitchen but growing with soil is messy and the compost attracts flies.

With hydroponics, i don’t need to have soil in my kitchen and i can grow in the smallest of spaces.

The Busy Gardener

I work full time and love growing my own plants but have limited success. Too often i’ll be travelling for work and can’t look after my plants.

You don’t need to be there to water your plants every day. With hydroponics your plants will only need tending every week or so. And what’s more you can really over-water the plants, after all their roots are submerged!

The Family Gardener

My daughter is starting to show an interest in the plants that i’m growing but it’s hard to keep their enthusiasm.

With hydroponics plants will grow faster and cna be grown in the family space. Particularly with fast grow lettuce varieties, each day there will be changes. It can be far more engaging growing indoors under lights than in the garden.

The Year Round Gardener

I love gardening but dread the approaching winter months. I wish i could continue growing all year round.

With hydroponics and artificial lighting, plants can be grown indoors all year round. There’s no need to stop for winter. Beat those winter blues by growing a fresh salad crop for Christmas.

The Technical Gardener

I enjoy growing plants and want to find ways to maximise the yield. I’m interested in all aspects of plant health and want to experiment further.

There are many ways to approach hydroponics for example nutrient film technique, aeroponics etc. The whole plant environment can be controlled to get the most out of your plants. Hydroponics offers far more control and can enhance your plants growth
