Hydrofeed Complete is a two part nutrient with all the necessary macro and micro nutrients to grow strong healthy plants. It is balanced so that you can grow both vegetative and fruiting plants with the same nutrient saving you time and money.

Hydrofeed Complete is supplied in either pre-weighed pouches or in bulk 1kg tubs. The pre-weighed pouches make it easy to mix the correct quantity in the measuring bottles. Just empty the pouch into the bottles, pour in 500ml of tap water and shake.

The bottles include a clever measuring system that’s so fast and simple to use. No more need for syringes and beakers! Open up the cap on the measuring chamber, squeeze the bottle and fill to the required volume. Hydrofeed Complete is used in equal quantities of Part A and Part B for the vegetative growth stages and can be adjusted to 3 parts A to 1 part B for fruiting (which lowers the nitrogen content). Just follow the instructions on the back of the bottles.

There’s nothing worse for the environment and your pocket than throwing things away. So once you’ve grown loads of plants with your Hydrofeed Complete bottles, just refill them! We’ll send you a part A and a part B refill for your bottles so you can re-use your plastic measuring bottles time and time again.

What’s great is that these pouches will fit through your letter box so you don’t need to be in to receive them. And we’ve selected recyclable pouches too so there’s no waste here either. This is a simple and cost effective way to purchase nutrients.

For greater savings, if a bit more faff, you can buy Hydrofeed Complete in bulk 1kg tubs of part A and part B. You’ll need to measure out 50g of each powder yourself, either with a set of scales or a two 25ml scoops and add that to each measuring bottle.

With most hydroponics nutrients, it’s essential to balance the pH for your chosen plants, often pH 5.8 to 6.2. Depending on the pH of the water you are using to mix up the nutrients, you may need to increase or decrease the pH.

The typical options in shops for pH UP is Potassium Hydroxide, a strong alkali which can burn the skin and irritate the lungs. It’s particularly dangerous if it comes into contact with eyes. For pH Down it’s concentrated Phosphoric Acid which is extremely hazardous being both corrosive and toxic. You MUST wear eye protection and gloves when handling these hazardous chemicals.

Neither of these options are safe to use and are particularly worrying to keep in the house around children and pets.

Hydrofeed pH Control pH DOWN is a safe organic option for pH control and the pH UP is safer to use also. Both are just as effective at controlling your nutrient pH. The pH UP is based on Potassium Carbonate (you can make your own with ash from the fireplace!). It’s relatively safe, just don’t drink it!. That’s why the bottles come with child resistant caps. The pH DOWN is based on Citric Acid which is organic and safe to use.

Another added advantage is that both the pH UP and pH DOWN can be posted as a powder in pre-weighed, recyclable pouches. So just as with Hydrofeed Complete, you can refill your bottles as many times as you want saving both money and the environment.
